2008....

• January 2008 , Brickhouse #343 juried into the Torpedo Factories All Media Membership Show  , on exhibit for the month of January 2008 at the Art League Gallery in The Torpedo Factory.

• February 2008 , Donated a fine Maple Burl vessel to the Art League of Alex`s Patrons Show .  Vessel #378  . The Patrons Show consists of donated works in value of 175.00 and up to support the Art League and all of its non profit community outreach .  Bravo !!!

• February 2008Finished a collaborative piece with fellow woodturner and buddy, Walt Bennett.  walt supplied me with a figured Cherry platter and said "have at it " So I studied it for a while and came up with the rocking chair piece as seen on the Gallery page . I will likely put it in the Inspired Vision page soon with more detail shots .

• 2008 Continuing works with fellow artist and weaver Anne McCauley . Wood and honeysuckle weaving combined also seen on Gallery page .

• March 2008 , Celtic Vessel #420 on Exhibit for the month of March in the art leagues juried All Media Membership Show .

• May 10th and 11th The Bethesda fine Arts festival . I will be in booth #122  off Del Ray Avenue . 10 am - 6 pm .  I will have some of my finest work . hope to see you there . 

• May 2008 Two pieces juried into The Maryland Federation of Arts spring show. An Exhibit put on by the Chesapeake Woodturners . This exhibit runs from May 21st - June 22  at The Circle Gallery , 18 State Circle ,  Annapolis Md. 21401  - Call  - 410-268-4566

• June 2008 "The Tower" #440 Juried into The Alexandria Art Leagues , All Media Membership Show for the month of June 2008 at The Torpedo Factory , Alexandria Va. 

• June 2008 Tower #434 is chosen by the Capital Area Woodturners ( www.capwoodturners.org )to represent local turned wood art at The American Association of Woodturners , June 2008 , National Woodturning Symposium in Richmond Virginia . • June 2008 , Grasshouse #430 brings 750.00 at auction for a donation to Educational Opportunity .  EOG Educational Opportunity Grant sponsored by The American Association of Woodturners . This auction was held at the AAW`s June 2008 Symposium in Richmond Va. A worldwide gathering of wood artists and patrons .

• July 2008 , Tower 434 Juried into the Alexandria Art Leagues "All Media Members Show"  On Exhibit and sale through the month of July 2008 forb 750.00 at the Art League Gallery . Call 703 -683-1780

• Torpedo Factory ..... "juried all media art show" Equal Award  for Series piece , Brickhouse #277 as seen on bottom rt. of home pg, Jan. 2006 ..... 

• 2 pieces in a national exhibit with a baseball theme  at the Louisville Slugger Base Ball Museum , Louisville Ky. This exhibit ,sponsored by the American Association of Woodturners  ( www.woodturner.org ) is Titled " Step Up To The Plate ".  Above is a image platter, titled  "Diamonds are Forever"  a 22 in. collaborative piece turned by Phil Brown,(see Phil Brown at www.silverhawk.com ) , imagery by John Noffsinger ......  Also a Babe Ruth portrait  from archived photograph on 16 in. turned platter by John Noffsinger on top of Inventories Pg.

• Oct. , 2006 I was privileged to Co Judge with  local fine artist, Pamela DiCola , for a  fine art exhibit titled -VECCA Annual Members Show, now showing at the Shenandoah County Gov. Building in Woodstock Va. through Nov. 17th -See www.veccaarts.org for more information .

• October,2006 Featured in Elan Magozine`s  Fairfax edition in an article called "Making the Cut". The article , written by Joe Motherall , on pg. 87 covers the main points of my inspiration & work. Very nice ! Thank you Joe & all at Elan Magozine.

• Jan. 2007 Began moving my woodworking shop from Upperville Va. to Woodbridge Va.  Looking foreward to a new year and new surroundings . Still keeping on with the present venues I should soon be working even harder and hope to hope to be seen in more locations soon .

• 2007.... Began to collaborate with fellow artist Anne McCauley.  see honeysucklebaskets.com for Annes website and contact information. 1st example seen at bottom of Gallery page. A black Walnut bowl with Anne`s honeysuckle weaving surrounding the piece.  Nice results are happening  with more to come . Keep you posted ....
